We start today of with 6 Wights provided by Tonoborus. Two of these guys their arms broke while removing supports, I glued the arms back on in a downward direction to add variety. Purple robes, with glowing Green Swords. Two in Red, two in yellow, and two in green. (kind of tempted to brake a red ones arm, to put it into the downward position).
10 Plaguebears also provided by Tonoborus. I painted this base Flash Gitz yellow, then inked them with Agrax Earthshade. I ink a ton of my mini's with Agrax Earthshade, love the crap out of that paint. The swords are Abaddon Black, dry brush a dark green, then highlight with a brighter green. Pick out some white teeth and claws, and bone for their horns and they are all finished. I happen to flip some of these guys before sending them to be 3D printed to add some variety.
So Globadiers, where quite the long hassle. These were the models I wanted:
I couldn't find them until quite recently. First I messed around with these, non-GW models that were frankly way too skinny. I edited the models to have thicker tails, hands, weapons, even increased their feet and heads. Even after all that, they didn't print well and didn't have that older GW feel.
In a Telegram Group, called STLHammer Workshop, I found these #Acolyte_Globadiers . They were a little too detailed (and really difficult to work with in Blender). I chose two different models increasing the size of weapons, heads, hands, feet, tails. I removed the tiny tanks that lead to main tanks. I used only one tanks for both models, and sunk that tank into the bodies of the Globadiers I kept. I removed extra tubes to simplify the model, since I knew I would shrink the model down a little. I probably will just stick with these as they are painted and look good. Lots of brass, Yellow Globes for throwing, same green robes as the Priests & Plague Censors. Of coarse, pink noses, ears, and tails.
Next we need a Clanrat Champion (later to be hero and eventually Chieftain). I may eventually replace this guy, but I found a group of older skaven guys that I used for a variety of mini's (Jezzails, Warpfire Throwers, Plague Monks, Plague Priests, and this Champion).
I used the model near the bottom left.
Next we need some Blunderbusses. These and the Bull Centaurs came from Tonoborus again. I painted these like the normal chaos dwarves I did earlier, Red, Gold, and Black.
I did end up increasing the size of the Bull Centaurs, since I have Cavalry bases. I also found a few extra shield designs to add some variety.
This completes the Level 2 Monster Encounter Table. So here is a quick video of all the monster needed for it.
I'm up to 364 monsters painted, 530 monsters 3D printed of the 558 needed as of 6/5/25.
That's all for this post, may your lantern always stay lit.
DeMagic Tutor out.
