Goblins and thier Napoleon Complex

Gotta have gobos. I maintained the red shoes, but since they didn't have the Night Goblin hats, I painted them more like generic goblins. One of the goblins, his foot didn't print so I green stuff sculpted the missing appendage so we didn't have to 3D print a whole extra goblin.

I have been posting pictures of my progress on Tiny Quest in a facebook group: Warhammer Quest!. A common question I get is just how small are these guys. Since I usually post picture of the mini's with no regular sized models around them and call it "tiny quest", people tend to think they are much smaller than they really are. A normal Warhammer Fantasy Battles goblin is on a 20 mil base. Slightly larger infantry like Chaos Warriors and Hero Characters are often on 25 mil bases. Large infantry like Minotaurs and Trolls are on 40 mil bases. All of these I'm putting on 20 mil bases. That means the goblins base is way big for their size, its a good fit for human sized infantry, and a bit small for Large infantry.

For size comparison here are several pictures, comparing the original models to my tiny quest models.

All Tiny minis shown are on 20 mil round bases. Normal Elf and Black Orc are on 25 mil square bases. Normal Beastmen on 25 mil round base. Normal Clanrat, Gobos, and Spider are on 20 mil square bases.

When re-sizing models in Blender, I usually make them 67% of normal size (x, y, & z). Then if they seem too skinny I make the 1.2 times fatter and thicker (x & y).

I use the Elf hero for determining the correct size for most other models. I consider him 6ft tall and try to size other things from there.

This puts me up to 92 monsters painted, 250 monsters 3D printed of the 558 needed. As of February 2nd, 2025.
